Gender Research in the Nordic Countries
NIKK – Nordic Institut for Women's Studies and Gender Research
Established by the Nordic Council of Ministers in 1995, NIKK is a transnational resource- and information centre on gender research and gender equality policies in the Nordic countries. NIKK is currently located at the University of Oslo in Norway. NIKK employs research coordinators, researchers, information advisors and administrative personnel - a total staff of 10 from three of the Nordic countries.

KILDEN has national responsibility to promote and inform about Norwegian gender research both within Norway and abroad. KILDEN has national responsibility to document resources and activities within gender research in Norway. KILDEN’s target groups are gender researchers, the academic communities in general, journalists, politicians, public administrators, students, pupils and the public in general.

Secretariat's primary tasks are
1) to gain a general overview of gender research in Sweden
2) actively distribute research results both within and beyond the universities
3) work to increase awareness of the significance of the gender perspective
4) analyse the status and development opportunities of the gender perspective in all areas of study
Women's History Collections at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden
The Women's History Collections at Göteborg University Library are a special library for women's, men's and gender studies.
The principal goals are surveying and cataloguing literature on gender issues and compiling and cataloguing manuscript material on women's history. New literature in the University Library is registered in the database KVINNSAM, the most extensive information resource on women's studies and gender research in the Nordic countries, and in GENA, a database of PhD-theses in Women's Studies, Men's Studies and Gender Research in Sweden.
In 1997 the Collections were appointed the Swedish National Resource Library for Women's, Men's and Gender Studies.

Gender in Norway presents the work Norway is doing in the field of gender equality within both the national and the international arena. Gender statistics and gender research contribute to providing a picture of Norwegian society from a gender perspective.
